The clan temple itself is located on one of the Wave Countries mountains, above the hills. Its a rough one day travel to the Hidden mist Village. Many residents of the fire Country do not know of the Yakuza existence, especially those who reside in the towns near the outer realm of the fire Country. Usually only the traditional shinobi of the Hidden Mist Village have even heard of the yakuza Clan. But this was the way the clan wanted it to be, free from the world. The principles and teachings of the Yakuza were always based around protecting family and your loved ones. Elders of the Yakuza always bring this topic up with the younglings, especially those to become shinobi. The Yakuza rules are strict, in the fact that the first three born and the first born male in a family must be enrolled into the ninja Academy at early ages. Shinobi of the Yakuza Clan specialize in one aspect of jutsus, but are known more to be well balanced in the ninja arts. Younglings of the Yakuza are taught from very early ages to fight in stand-alone situations, and leave the team aspects to the Hidden Mist Village ways. Though it is not required, the trend among Yakuzas Clan Members who specialize in Ninjutsu usually learn to manipulate nature as if it were between there fingers. Clan History: In a society where conformity is highly valued, and outward signs of individuality can arouse suspicion, the yakuza, Japan’s native organized crime group, deliberately goes against the grain; or, as they would say in Japan, the yakuza stubbornly refuses to be .. referring to the often quoted national proverb, The nail that sticks up must be hammered down. The origin of the yakuza is a matter of some debate. Some feel that its members are descendents of the 17th-century kabuki-mono (crazy ones), outlandish samurai who reveled in outlandish clothing and hair styles, spoke in elaborate slang, and carried unusually long swords in their belts. The kabuki-mono were also known as hatamoto-yakko (servants of the shogun). During the Tokugawa era, an extended period of peace in Japan, the services of these samurai were no longer needed, and so they became leaderless ronin (wave men). Without the guidance of a strong hand, they eventually shifted their focus from community service to theft and mayhem. Modern yakuza members refute this theory and instead proclaim themselves to be the descendents of the machi-yokko (servants of the town) who protected their villages from the wayward hatamoto-yakko and other . The official yakuza history portrays the group’s ancestors as underdog folk heroes who stood up for the poor and the defenseless, just as Robin Hood helped the peasants of medieval England. The Yakuzas true origins are slightly unknown. But according to History, the Yakuza Clan is one of the oldest clan’..’s to date. Theirs been some speculation within the YKZ I.E Yakuza book of knowledge. Some scriptures within the book tell of a man who had founded certain branches of the crime family, mostly dating back to our knowledge of his discovery of the Yakuza Temple within the 18th century. It is said that Haku, {{rumored to be his name}} was in seclusion before uplifting his clan. Mainly as a result from scheduled contracts upon his reputation. Before the uplifting of the clan, the Yakuza and its people were scattered throughout the countries. Haku, a shinobi of the Hidden mist, was encouraged by the Mizukage at the time to gather and uplift his lost clan and bring forth its foundation in the Wave Country. The mizukage knew the abilities of the shinobi would help out the Hidden Mist Village greatly. Within time, Haku traveled the five Great Countries and then some, searching for his long lost Family members. Within this 20 year conquest, Haku found two men and two woman who bore the Hyouton and the yakuza name. These five became the Elders of the Yakuza. But this was not the only find Haku came across. Haku fell in love with a kiriagakure shinobi through his conquest, and bore three girls and one boy. These girls were the only girls that were able to pass on the Hyouton to their children, giving the Yakuza its three branch Families. Though the story is one theory that had been altered as the years went on. Some people even speculate the great Haku yakuza is still alive till this day. Some people even have witnessed numerous accounts of sightings beneath the kiriagakure mountains of his existence. But then again, it was mostly the village drunks who have spoke of such info. The Yakuza People Current yakuza members fall under three general categories: tekiya (street peddlers), bakuto (gamblers), and gurentai (hoodlums). The peddlers and gamblers trace their roots back to the 18th century while the hoodlums came into existence after Himura era when the demand for black market goods created a booming industry. Traditionally the tekiya, medieval Japan’s version of snake-oil salesmen, worked the fairs and markets while the bakuto worked the towns and highways. The gurentai, by contrast, modeled themselves on foreign gangsters of the Samurai era, using threats and extortion to achieve their ends. Soon after the Himura era, the governmental power void caused by the Occupation, the gurentai prospered, and their ranks swelled. They also brought organized crime in Japan to a new level of violence, replacing the traditional daggers with modern swords, even though swords were now officially outlawed in the country as a result of the surrender. The yakuza are proud to be outcasts, and the word yakuza reflects the group’s self-image as society’s rejects. In regional dialect ya means 8, ku means 9, and sa means 3, numbers that add up to 20, which is a losing hand in the card game hana-fuda (flower cards). The yakuza are the bad hands of society, a characterization they embrace in the same way that middle easterns set criminal instinct upon society. The tattoos Yakuza members also favor tattoos, but theirs are elaborate body murals that often cover the entire torso, front and back, as well the arms to below the elbow and the legs to mid-calf. Naked, a fully tattooed yakuza looks like he’s wearing long underwear. Dragons, flowers, mountainous landscapes, turbulent seascapes, gang insignias and abstract designs are typical images used for yakuza body art. The application of these extensive tattoos is painful and can take hundreds of hours, but the process is considered a test of a man’s mettle. It’s common within Yakuza circles to tattoo themselves. Their tattoos can depict their clan’s crest. Some Yakuza members tattooed a black ring around the arm for each crime they committed. Tattoos were a mark of strength (some tattoos can take over 100 hours to do) and were also a sign that they were unwilling to accommodate themselves to societies rules and norms. Although tattoos have become mainstream in Japan as well as around the world it is not uncommon for public onsen (Japanese baths) and some capsule hotels not to admit people with tattoos as was my experience in Japan. Many of the older generation still associate tattoos with the criminal classes which may be the reason you don’t see to many people showing them off in public places. .. Criminal Allies ....
