Kundalini yoga is considered the fastest way to awaken your Kundalini (life-force energy).
This can be awakened like uncoiling the serpent lying dorment at the base of your spine.
Kundalini Yoga is not an art easily corrupted & will come into your life only when you are ready.
For me Kundalini Yoga was introduced after a 4 year practice of hatha & power yoga. Once I started my Kundalini Yoga practice I began my Kundalini Awakening.
Yogi Bhajan brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in the 60's.

Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, consists of exercises or postures (Asanas) with specialized breathing (Pranayama), hand and finger gestures (Mudras), body locks (Bhandas), chanting (Mantras) and meditations, together or in sequence to create exact, specific effects.
Exercises, in combination with one or more other components, are performed in groups or Kriyas, whose total impace is greater than the sum of the parts. Once the magnetic field is charged Shabad and Laya Yoga meditations vibrate the Centers.
Kundalini Yoga, although more powerful than other schools of yoga, shares their same ultimate aim - union with the Universal, Divine Source.
