LUMINOUS HORSE
She stands in the clearing, watching a herd of tame horses imagine she watches time fly on feathery wings and wishes if only she could fly be a Pegasus out of myth instead of a boring ole Unicorn opalescent luminous burning white bright she gets as dirty as anything yet others are fascinated when they glimpse of her she doesn't understand why she's just another horse with a horn she has no mysterious powers she nibbles the grass and leaves she drowns her muzzle in water to drink her hooves crack and her hair tangles and she runs in fear from anyone and everything that moves and makes a sound the creatures on this earth want to take her she knows better she will be no captive Unicorn were she a horse she wouldn't mind she's close enough but eyes wander, all kinds blue, Grey, brown, green, black... all they see is a horn and silky soft breath unable to enjoy her solitude she disbelieves how long its taken and she's still not green outside if only, she wishes, if only if only she had wings she could fly and show them she's really something special
